Artist biography

Jörg Immendorff

One of Germany’s most celebrated and most controversial artists suffering from the incurable disease, ALS. Although he was only given two years to live, Immendorff continued working intensively. He believed every picture he painted prolonged his life by one month. Against all odds Immendorff lived another 10 years. He died during the filming. His presence in this film is his last testimony.
