Artist biography


Katherine Sherwood


After her cerebral stroke Sherwood was physically unable to paint. During months of very painful recovery she developed new techniques and new forms of creativity. Her work has taken on fascinating dimensions, addressing issues related to her own disabled body, which were crucial to the healing process.
